Vizio has unveiled its first Windows 8 based tablet at CES in Las Vegas.

Named the Vizio Tablet PC, the tablet has a 11.6in, 1080p touch screen display and a is powered by a 1GHz dual-core Z-60 chip. Inside, there is 64GB of storage and 2GB of RAM, while connections include micro USB and micro HDMI port, and there's a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for video calls.

The Verge has had some hands on time with the Vizio Tablet PC, saying that its most impressive feature is its 1920 x 1080 display. The tech site also praises the Tablet PC's Windows Signature installation which uses a clean, unmodified version of Windows 8. However, the Tablet PC is reportedly "metallic" and heavy, and no price details or launch dates have been announced yet.
