Saint Paul may have said that a woman's hair is her glory, but Kate Hudson is refusing to listen to the popular gospel-spreading apostle. The Hollywood actress is almost unrecognisable after trading her trademark luscious blonde locks for a buzz cut.
Hudson, who has shaved hair for her role in Sia's upcoming movie Sister, unveiled the new look on Monday( 21 August), taking a break from filming to watch the solar eclipse in New York.
In the snap shared with her 7.6 million Instagram followers, the 38-year-old posed with her protective glasses and teen dancer Maddie Ziegler to look to the skies. The caption read: "Quick time-out! #SettingIntentions @maddieziegler."
The mother of one's fans were in awe of her makeover, with one person commenting: "Who needs hair with that pretty face."
Another said: "Love love love your new hair style!"
A third added: "I always tell my girls there is more to a chick than her hair!"
Sia's teenage protégé Maddie shared the same snap, writing: "Watching the solar eclipse between takes."
Sister, which is about a sober drug dealer and his autistic sister, is written and directed by singer-songwriter Sia and is based on a short story the Australian musician wrote in 2007. "I was too embarrassed to tell anyone I wanted to make a movie because I thought it would be seen as a vanity project because I was a singer," the Chandelier hitmaker confessed during a during a Q&A at Venice Days in 2015. "And then last year, after I made the 'Chandelier' video, I realised that I was pretty good at directing, so I felt a little bit braver."
While a release date is yet to be announced, Ziegler said the project was "unlike anything you've seen before" and credited Hudson with teaching her "everything"/
She said of the How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days star: "She's amazing, she's incredible. She's becoming like a family member to me, I love her so much."
