WWE has teased potential contenders to fight against The Undertaker just a month after the Deadman made his WWE return on the 900th episode of SmackDown Live following a successful hip surgery.
As The Undertaker (real name Mark William Calaway) made it clear that he will no longer be defined by WrestleMania, the living WWE legend will not only be terrorising his opponents at the pay-per-view (PPV) event, but will also be competing in other upcoming events in 2017.
To keep the ball rolling, the WWE released a video that showed possible fights for The Undertaker ahead of Royal Rumble. AJ Styles, Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, Braun Strowman and Shinsuke Nakamura feature in the video that has been shared on WWE's YouTube channel.
As 2017's first big PPV event Royal Rumble will be held at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on 29 January, the wrestling entertainment company could have well hinted at the possibility of a fight between The Undertaker and AJ Styles. Rumours about the two superstars squaring off for the WWE World Championship at Royal Rumble have been doing the rounds for months now.
The Phenomenal One had previously said that he was ready to fight The Undertaker if the WWE universe wants it.
"Is that what you're asking? Because it may be a dream match for The Undertaker. You know, more importantly, is it a dream match for the WWE Universe? If they want Undertaker, AJ Styles...I say we give it to them," he added.
Before The Undertaker appeared on SmackDown Live, the WWE Universe was also speculating as to who the living WWE legend would square off with at WrestleMania 33, which takes place at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida on 2 April 2017.
One superstar who does not feature in the video is John Cena as he is rumoured to fight The Undertaker at WrestleMania 33. As the WWE is known to reveal big fights as events draw closer, Cena may well be announced as Undertaker's opponent for the PPV event.
