Often touted in media circles as the 'Apple iPhone killer', Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi will launch its most expected Redmi Note smartphone (4G LTE compatible) on 18 November.

This smartphone is expected to cost nearly $150 (£90) once it is released in the US.

Redmi Note 4G will initially be launched in Singapore on 18 November for a price of Singapore $225 (£109).

The older Xiaomi Redmi Note is expected to be launched in India by the end of November. The smartphone's Indian price is expected to be an ultra-affordable Rs 10,000 (£102).

The USP of Redmi Note, apart from its low price tag, is its 4G-LTE support. Besides, the smartphone also incorporates the following key hardware aspects:

  • 5.5in IPS display
  • Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, clocked at 1.6GHz
  • 13MP rear camera
  • 8GB internal storage
  • 2GB RAM
  • 4G LTE, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, dual band Wi-Fi and microUSB connectivity
  • 3100mAh Li-Ion Polymer battery, that is claimed to provide a talk time of up to 38 hours, along with 60 hours music playback

Xiaomi's Redmi Note 4G is a good bet, if you are looking at buying an above-average 4G-enabled smartphone.
