Sony has begun rolling out new stock firmware for the Xperia Z3 and its compact version.

The Xperia Z3 and the Z3 Compact are now on sale in the UK as SIM-free and unlocked variants and as contract phones. This is the first firmware update following the market rollout of the devices.

The new update with Android v4.4.4 bumps the build version of the new Xperia series from 23.0.A.2.93 or, 23.0.A.2.98 to 23.0.A.2.105, reports Xperiablog.

The update is currently live for UK users and is expected to become available in other regions soon. To check the availability of the update navigate to Settings>> About phone>> Software updates>> System updates.

Sony is yet to share the official changelog for the update, which seems to have made the phones very fast and stable without any lag, claims recognised XDA contributor, Jozinek. He also states that the update does not bring any significant change.
