Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that any last minute signings by Arsenal are unlikely, unless an exceptional player is made available.

In a lighthearted press conference, Wenger said that he wouldn't expect to make any more signings, saying, "If I wake up in the morning and somebody stands in front of my door and is an exceptional player, I will open the door. But it looks very unlikely now."

So far in the January transfer window Wenger has signed Brazilian defender Gabriel Paulista from Villarreal and Polish midfielder Krystian Bielik from Legia Warsaw, but it now appears unlikely that there will be any further additions to the Gunners' roster before deadline day on 2 February.

Arsenal, whose last Premier League match was an impressive 2-0 win away to title holders Manchester City, will next play Aston Villa at the Emirates on Sunday 1 February.
