So here's what happened on the Batman v Superman front this week: images of the new Batmobile leaked online, director Zack Snyder released an official image of Batman's new set of wheels, the Batmobile was reportedly stolen, and now videos of the Batmobile zipping around have surfaced online!

On 12 September Bleeding Cool, citing sources, reported that "one of the Batmobile models being used in the filming of Batman v Superman has gone missing, believed stolen". The rumour also started trending on social media, with many fans wondering if the reports were actually true.

However, Freep.com soon posted a report confirming that the rumoured theft was a false alarm.

According to the website, Detroit police spokesman Sgt. Michael Woody said that police confirmed with producers of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice that the vehicle had not been stolen.

"The Batmobile is safe in the Batcave where it belongs," Woody said.

Sources close to the film's production in Detroit also revealed it wasn't true that the Caped Crusader's ride had been stolen. If that's not proof enough for fans, here are some new on-set videos featuring the Batmobile zipping around during filming.
