BET Awards 2015 will be held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on 28 June BET Awards

Excitement is at an all time high as the countdown begins to the 15th annual BET Awards, celebrating the best in African American entertainment.

The show which will be hosted by Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross, will be held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on 28 June, at 8pm ET/PT.

At the event, Janet Jackson will receive the inaugural Ultimate Icon: Music Dance Visual Award, while Smokey Robinson will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award and Tom Joyner the Humanitarian Award.

This year's ceremony will also include performances by Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Meek Mill, Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, Ne-Yo, Ciara, Jason Derulo, Tyga, Janelle Monae and Jussie Smollett.

As for the nominations, the 25-year-old Loyal singer and Minaj led the pack with six nominations each. Beyonce and Lil Wayne are behind with four nominations each.
