Bill Goldberg ended his 12-year hiatus with a Brock Lesnar fight at Survivor Series, which the former won under 90 seconds to the shock of the WWE universe. Since then, the future WWE plans of the former WCW and WWE champion have been widely speculated with one confirmed fight at the Royal Rumble, which takes place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, on 29 January.
Right after the Beast Incarnate was defeated, Paul Heyman, in an interview with Michael Cole, had said that Goldberg cracked Lesnar's ribs with the first spear, which was the reason why his client lost in such a fashion.
Heyman also said that after the loss, Lesnar has been motivated to exact revenge on Goldberg. Heyman had stressed that Lesnar would attend the Rumble match as well. But as of now WWE has not made it clear whether the two superstars will square off at Royal Rumble.
It was known that Goldberg has signed to work with the wrestling entertainment company through WrestleMania 33. Now, a report from Ringside News claims that Goldberg will make thirteen appearances leading into WrestleMania 33, which takes place at Camping World Stadium. City, Orlando, Florida, on 2 April 2017.
According to the report, Goldberg has signed for three fights, which includes the Royal Rumble Battle Royal. Also it is expected that Goldberg and Lesnar will have their rematch at WrestleMania 33. Besides the fights, Goldberg is said to make an appearance on the first episode of Monday Night Raw next year and another episode of Raw on 23 January.
