For Cheryl, black, it appears is the new white. Only a few weeks ago all eyes were on Cheryl Fernandez-Versini as she revealed her whirlwind secret wedding and new moniker to the world.

However, all eyes were on her once again as she recently stepped out in London to celebrate her marriage with her family and friends - but this time for her daring fashion choice.

Rather than wearing a traditional wedding dress to the party which was held at private members' club, The Library, the X-Factor star wowed everyone by scraping a bridal theme altogether and wearing a stunning sheer black gown, designed by British designers Ralph & Russo.

According to the label's designer Tamara Ralph, "Cheryl's choice of black for a wedding celebration was so unexpected but I love the fact that she surprised everyone."

"The play on fabrics and simple silhouette is what really makes this gown so striking. The sumptuous, rich velvet and duchess silk bodice contrasted with a delicate, sheer silk-chiffon skirt brought an element of fun to the overall look whilst still being romantic.

"The gown was perfect for Cheryl on her special day," she added.

The Crazy Stupid Love singer felt inspired by the dress and purchased it after witnessing its presentation at the Ralph & Russo Spring-Summer show in January and she even styled her look in the same way as the catwalk model; with a slick side-parted hair-do adding a touch of glamour by donning red lipsick.

She was joined at the celebration by around 90 family members and friends, including Rochelle and Marvin Humes and former Girls Aloud bandmates, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley who all adhered to the monochrome dress-code.

Ralph & Russo are a British haute couture label who were inducted into the Paris Couture Fashion week schedule alongside brands like Chanel, Dior and Valentino. Some of it's high profile clients, include Angelina Jolie, Beyonce and Suki Waterhouse.
