Football star David Beckham, who is well known for his charming looks, has remained extremely fit even after retiring. The ex-England captain was recently roped in to be the face of Biotherm Homme to create men's skincare and grooming products for L'Oreal.

The father-of-four, dressed in a white tee, which provided a glimpse of his extensive tattooed sleeves, revealed the nuances of his "pretty tough" yet "slightly sensitive" skin to fans in a video ad for Biotherm Homme. "When you look after yourself, you feel better, you look better. I cleanse, I moisturise," the 41-year-old said in the promotional video. "I'm in and out in seven minutes. It's just not about how you look, it's how you feel," he added.

While talking about his grooming technique, Beckham highlighted interesting topics such as, "What does it mean to be a gentleman?" With his signature lopsided grin, the English soccer legend suggested, "Opening doors for ladies," and "...to be confident but not overly confident."

The superstar, who is married to former Spice Girl Victoria, is known to be a doting father. In the promo video, he revealed that the most painful tattoo he had gotten was his youngest son's name on his back.

Aptly titled, "powerful or cool" the video lends a rare glimpse into Beckham's personal grooming. While he insists that he is not very good at dancing, we are sure impressed with his footwork on-field.

After signing up for the luxury skin care line designed especially for men, Beckham confided that this has been a long-conceived plan. "They [L'Oreal] are as ambitious as I am, and we look forward to showing everyone the fruits of our labor very soon," he said. Perhaps the most precious secret that the retired footballer revealed about his beauty was the inspiration for his beard, to which he cheekily said, "probably laziness!"
