Aaron Phypers Files for Divorce from Denise Richards, Requests Alimony After Claiming Zero Income

Aaron Phypers, husband of actress and reality star Denise Richards, has officially filed for divorce after six years of marriage. The petition, submitted to the Los Angeles County Superior Court on 7 July, cites 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for the separation. Phypers, 52, is also requesting spousal support, stating he has not earned any income in the past 12 months.

The couple, who tied the knot in September 2018, had reportedly been separated since 4 July, according to court documents. They do not share biological children, although Phypers had been in the process of adopting Richards' youngest daughter, Eloise, 13. Richards also shares two adult daughters, Sami and Lola, with her ex-husband, actor Charlie Sheen.

Divorce Filing Highlights OnlyFans Earnings

Phypers' legal filing claims that Denise Richards earns more than £195,000 ($250,000) per month from multiple ventures, including brand deals, reality TV and her high-earning OnlyFans account. In a previous interview, Richards revealed that Phypers was actively involved in running her OnlyFans content.

'He's so supportive,' Richards said earlier this year. 'He knows what men love, and he'll go through all the photos and say, "This is good. Do this."'

Despite their united front on the Peacock reality series Denise Richards & Her Wild Things, in which the couple famously claimed they would 'never get divorced', the legal filing suggests otherwise. Just months earlier, Richards had said: 'Even if we hate each other, I'm not gonna f------ get divorced.'

Phypers Claims Lavish Lifestyle and Seeks Property

Phypers is seeking to retain ownership of several personal items, including his power tools, motorcycle and sports car. He also claims the couple's monthly expenses total approximately £82,000 ($105,000), with £15,600 ($20,000) allegedly spent on clothing and £11,700 ($15,000) on entertainment alone.

The filing marks a significant shift in Richards' public stance on divorce. The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star previously expressed concern about the stigma of another public split, following her turbulent divorce from Sheen. On her show, she spoke candidly about her hesitation to go through it again.

Celebrity, Divorce and Digital Platforms

Neither party has issued a formal statement. Richards' representatives have yet to comment, and Phypers, who was previously married to Desperate Housewives actress Nicollette Sheridan, has remained publicly silent.

The divorce also casts a spotlight on the intersection of celebrity relationships and digital content platforms. Richards ranks among the top 1% of creators on OnlyFans, and her success on the platform is now a focal point in the financial disclosures of the separation.

As proceedings unfold, the case underscores the tension between curated celebrity personas and private realities—especially when fame, finances and public interest collide.
