Sean 'Diddy' Combs allegedly fought Jamaican drug lord Christopher 'Dudus' Coke at a federal prison in New Jersey, according to TMZ. The Diddy prison fight report emerged on 14 October, following claims that Combs suffered a head injury during the confrontation.

His projected prison release date has also moved from 21 January to 2 March 2028, a delay of 41 days. The revised date was reported before the alleged fight. Federal authorities have not established a connection between the two developments.

Combs, 56, is serving a 50-month sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix following his 2025 convictions on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. His incarceration has attracted renewed scrutiny over allegations of special treatment, prison rule violations and a reported medical emergency.

Diddy Prison Fight Report Identifies Jamaican Drug Lord Christopher Coke

TMZ reported on 14 October that Combs and Coke allegedly fought at Fort Dix on Friday, 9 October. Citing multiple unnamed prison sources, the outlet claimed Combs sustained a head injury during the confrontation and required treatment outside the facility.

Coke, widely known as 'Dudus', previously led the Jamaican criminal organisation Shower Posse. He received a 23-year US federal prison sentence in June 2012 after pleading guilty to racketeering conspiracy and conspiracy to commit assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering.

According to the US Department of Justice, Coke controlled a criminal network involved in international drug and firearms trafficking. He was arrested in Jamaica in June 2010 and subsequently brought to the United States.

The allegation involving Coke emerged days after Combs was reportedly transported from Fort Dix by ambulance early on Saturday, 10 October. Sources said the rapper was conscious and speaking when he returned to prison later that morning.

However, conflicting explanations have emerged about the injury. An earlier account attributed it to Combs striking his head on an upper bunk, while TMZ subsequently reported that he was hurt during the alleged confrontation.

The precise circumstances have not been established through a publicly disclosed prison incident report.

Responding to earlier reports about Combs' medical treatment, his spokesperson said, 'We are aware of the reports concerning Sean Combs and are working to confirm the circumstances. Sean's health and well-being are our immediate concern, and we appreciate everyone who has reached out.'

Diddy Prison Release Date Pushed Back by 41 Days

Combs' projected release date was changed from 21 January to 2 March 2028, according to reporting published on 8 October. The adjustment was therefore documented before the alleged fight with Coke.

The reason for the change has not been officially explained. However, subsequent reporting identified disciplinary measures that could be relevant to the revised timetable.

On 13 October, TMZ reported that Jose Rojas, a union secretary representing Bureau of Prisons employees, had obtained Combs' disciplinary history. Rojas said the records showed several violations involving fights and unauthorised mobile phone use.

According to Rojas, Combs lost 41 days of good-conduct credit and 400 days of commissary privileges. The reported loss of credit matches the difference between his previous and revised release dates.

The Bureau of Prisons has not publicly confirmed whether that particular penalty caused the adjustment. A projected release date can change because of sentence-credit calculations and does not necessarily indicate that a judge has imposed an additional prison term.

Diddy Prison Fight Allegedly Followed Anger Over Phone Seizures

TMZ's sources claimed the confrontation stemmed from resentment among inmates following reports about Combs' allegedly privileged prison lifestyle.

A September NBC News investigation described claims that Combs received personal services from other prisoners, including cooking, cleaning and massages. It also reported allegations involving prohibited items, including a mobile phone.

Combs' representatives have disputed portrayals of his treatment in prison as unusually privileged.

According to TMZ, prison officials subsequently conducted at least two searches and confiscated mobile phones from inmates, including Coke. Sources claimed the Jamaican inmate blamed Combs for the crackdown and the resulting loss of privileges.

Those allegations have not been independently verified through publicly released prison records.

The outlet further claimed both men received two weeks of disciplinary confinement in the Special Housing Unit. Combs was reportedly already being held there when the alleged confrontation occurred during a daily break.

Combs was sentenced in October 2025 following his conviction on two prostitution-related counts. He was acquitted of the more serious racketeering and sex-trafficking charges. His original 50-month sentence remains unchanged in the available reporting.

The latest prison reports have raised further questions about his disciplinary record and the circumstances surrounding his injury. While his projected release is now set for March 2028, federal authorities have not publicly confirmed the reported fight involving Coke or established its connection to any disciplinary decision.
