Police arrested an attempted-murder suspect at Trippie Redd's South Florida mansion during a search linked to a shooting outside a Miami restaurant. Braveone Jones, 25, was taken into custody at the rapper's Southwest Ranches property on 6 October, according to Miami police statements reported by Local 10. Jail records cited by the broadcaster listed two counts of attempted second-degree murder connected to the September shooting.

Trippie Redd was not arrested during the operation. CBS Miami Police identified Jones, who performs as BalloutDaDon, as the target of the search, according to a statement given to XXL.

Multiple Agencies Descend on the Property

Officers served the warrant at approximately 6pm on Tuesday, 6 October. Davie police participated alongside officers from Fort Lauderdale and Sunrise, the Broward Sheriff's Office, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and Plantation police's SWAT team.

The City of Miami Police Department is leading the investigation. Although the search took place in Broward County, the shooting under investigation happened in Miami's Wynwood neighbourhood.

Local 10 reported that its news crew visited the property the following morning and found no remaining police activity. The arrest subsequently provided an explanation for the operation at the musician's home, after initial reports had left its purpose unspecified.

The September Shooting Behind the Search

Investigators linked Jones to gunfire outside Dukunoo Jamaican Kitchen on 15 September, approximately three weeks before the arrest. Miami Fire Rescue said crews responded at around 12.10am and treated two men, aged 18 and 23, for gunshot wounds. Both were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center.

Contemporaneous reporting by NBC 6 described mobile-phone footage showing people attempting to help the wounded before emergency crews arrived. One person pressed clothing against a victim's injuries, while another described using a belt to control bleeding.

The restaurant said in a statement that it was aware of the incident outside its premises and was cooperating with law enforcement. Police initially disclosed neither a suspect's identity nor what had prompted the shooting. The subsequent arrest marks a development in that investigation; it does not establish Jones' guilt.

Jones is also known professionally as BalloutDaDon. XXL describes him as a rapper affiliated with Trippie Redd and signed to independent label HAB ENT.

His releases include the projects Yopstar and Yopstar Lyfestyle 2, both issued in 2026, according to the publication. He has also released music with artists including Luhh Dyl and 1900Rugrat.

Miami police confirmed to XXL that Jones was taken into custody over the restaurant shooting. The department said its investigation remained ongoing. No response from Jones or a lawyer representing him was identified in the reporting reviewed for this article.
