Erika Kirk has faced significant criticism following the death of her husband, Charlie Kirk, with many questioning her public conduct in the months since his passing. It has been six months since Charlie's death, but a new report has brought the same issue to light.

According to a TikTok content creator, someone reached out to them about how Erika allegedly went on a shopping spree less than 24 hours after Charlie was assassinated. They reportedly had receipts to support the claims. International Business Times UK could not independently verify this.

The Alleged Shopping Spree

An employee from Alo Yoga reached out to TikToker @markosbits to share how Erika allegedly reacted to her husband's death. Less than 24 hours after the news of Charlie Kirk's death was made public at 4:00 PM, she reportedly turned to retail therapy.

The source shared a receipt for Erika's alleged shopping spree, worth over $1,000 (approximately £780), which reflected her maiden name and address. The items purchased included a tracksuit and various pieces of gym wear.

'I don't even know what's more egregious to me. The fact that she went on a shopping spree not even 24 hours after her husband was publicly assassinated or the fact that she shops at Alo?' the content creator said, adding that Alo's clothes are 'extremely, extremely overpriced.'

@markosbits also questioned the nature of the purchases, noting they were not suitable for a funeral. 'It's giving "Gone Girl" vibes,' the TikToker added, wondering how Erika was able to go on a shopping spree before Charlie's body was even 'cold.'

'That is not how shock works. That is not how grief works for a normal person,' the social media creator continued before concluding, 'No one's wearing leggings and a sports bra to their husband's funeral.'

@markosbits

Erika, if you’re gonna go on a shopping spree 12 hours after your hubby gets sniped at least treat yourself to Prada.

Unconventional Mourning

The shopping allegations are one part of a growing wave of criticism regarding Erika Kirk's behaviour following her husband's death. Many have noted that her grieving process appears largely unconventional. Shortly after Charlie's death, she appeared more frequently in the public eye than before the assassination.

Observers have noted that her public demeanour has seemed composed, prompting accusations that she has been coached to present herself. She has also faced accusations of faking emotion during public appearances.

Some defended Erika, saying that people grieve differently. Others, however, dismissed such defences.

Online Conspiracy Theories

The atmosphere of suspicion has given rise to several unverified conspiracy theories suggesting Erika Kirk may have been involved in the assassination. IBTimes UK found no evidence to support these claims. Some commentators online have argued that she had a financial or professional motive to see her husband removed from his position at TPUSA, with rumours surfacing that she was part of a plan to hijack the organisation's leadership for her own gain.

These claims are often cited by those who point to the alleged shopping spree as evidence of a lack of genuine remorse. Even comedians have weighed in, with one joking during stand-up sets that she is 'Suspect No. 1.' Comedian Sammy Obeid noted that Erika met Charlie through an interview for his organisation, TPUSA, and that 'four years later he's dead' and Erika took over his company.

Erika has also chosen to forgive Tyler Robinson, the man suspected of shooting Charlie. At a public memorial in Glendale, Arizona, she said, 'I forgive him because it was what Christ did, and it is what Charlie would do.'

The claims remain unverified. IBTimes UK found no evidence linking Erika Kirk to her husband's death.
