European Central Bank IT consultant Curran Padake has been found not guilty of sexual assault

A European Central Bank IT consultant has been cleared of sexual assault.

Curran Padake had been accused of assaulting a woman at Notting Hill Carnival last year.

The 46-year-old was alleged to have slipped his hand down his trousers while holding the woman's arm and asking her to dance. Padake admitted he was not wearing underwear at the time, Southwark Crown Court heard.

The pair were stood among a crowd watching a band perform on Gaz's Rockin' Blues stage on 26 August.

But Padake walked free after jurors found the IT worker not guilty of the offence.
