A Jet Blue flight with 135 passengers on board travelling from New York to Las Vegas was diverted to Texas, after the captain of the flight started yelling about a bomb on board and shouting about Afghanistan and al-Qaeda. As the man started banging on the cock pit door to get in, he was heard by witnesses to say 'gimme the code.'

The pilot of the plane then made a call over the loud speaker system asking for help to restrain the Captain. A number of male passengers were able to wrestle him to the ground, and he was restrained for the duration of the flight. Luckily another captain, travelling off duty, entered the flight deck prior to landing at Amarillo and took over the flight duties of the mentally ill crew member.

According to Jet Blue Airlines, The ill crew member was removed from the aircraft and taken to a local medical facility. It is believed the FBI is conducting a full investigation into the matter.
