Harrison Ford has one of the most colourful love lives in Hollywood. The actor has been married three times: first to Mary Marquadt from 1964 to 1979, then to Melissa Mathison from 1983 to 2004. Six years after that marriage ended, Ford wed Calista Flockhart, and the couple remain happily married today.

This past weekend, Ford received the SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Award. During his acceptance speech, the veteran actor paid tribute to his wife, calling Flockhart extraordinary and beautiful. Below are some quick facts about the couple's relationship.

Where Did They Meet?

Ford and Flockhart first met in January 2002 at the Golden Globe Awards, at which point Ford was still married to his second wife. They made their first public appearance as a couple seven months later at the red carpet premiere of 'K-19: The Widowmaker', and have been together ever since.

When Did They Tie the Knot?

Ford and Flockhart married in 2010, a year after getting engaged. Their wedding took place at the Governor's Mansion in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Does the Couple Have Kids?

Flockhart and Ford do not have any biological children together. Flockhart adopted her son, Liam, before the couple met. Ford later legally adopted him following the wedding, having previously spoken warmly about what it meant to have Liam in his life.

'She's brought a child back into my home. My youngest, other than Liam, is 17. It's a wonderful opportunity to be part of a child's growing up, which is always an endless springtime. You see the blossoming and the growing and the nurturing and the payoff,' Ford said at the time.

An Age-Gap Couple

Ford is 22 years older than Flockhart, though both have said this has never been an issue in their relationship. Flockhart has joked that she regularly forgets the age difference entirely.

'Sometimes I even say, "Wow, I keep forgetting that he's 22 years older than me." It doesn't factor into our relationship at all. I like the way he looks first thing in the morning. It's not handsome, it's more cute. He looks like a little boy,' she said.

Sharing the Big Screen

Ford and Flockhart have appeared in multiple projects together. Last year, Ford said in an interview that he would welcome more collaborations with his wife, on one condition.

'If we get to work together, we'd want it to be someone else's idea. That kind of casting might not be the best way to bring people into an imagined situation, because [audiences] may say, "Oh, I know they're married; now I'm not even thinking about the movie anymore",' he said.

Shared Love for Flying

Beyond acting, the couple share a love of flying. In a 2003 interview, Ford described how the hobby brought them closer in the early days of their relationship.

'Liam loves to fly. Calista likes the process, she likes what she sees from the air, she likes seeing me happy. I think a lot of it has to do with that she loves to see me doing something that I love,' he said.
