A murder investigation has been launched after a man was found stabbed to death in north London. Police were called at 1.50pm on 29 December to a property in Hilldrop Crescent, Islington.

A man in his thirties was pronounced dead at the scene and a 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder. He is currently in custody at a north London police station.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "Formal identification and a post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course. Detectives are appealing for anyone who was in the area who may have seen or heard anything to come forward and assist them with their enquires.
