John Cena has been called a "part-timer" by fans after the WWE superstar took a break from wrestling to pursue his acting career. Interestingly, the 15-time WWE world champion had once called The Rock a "part-timer" when the latter was juggling with his wrestling and acting career. But now, Cena regrets his previous comments and thinks that it was the "stupidest stuff ever".

When JBL and Renee Young on Talking Smack asked Cena how he now feels about considering The Rock a part-timer due to his commitments as an actor, he said that at the time he was looking at it through "very blinded eyes".

"I consider what I said back then the stupidest stuff ever. I was looking at it through very blinded eyes, and I really wanted The Rock to come back to the WWE. And I figured that hitting him where it hurts would get him back to the WWE, and it worked," he said. (Via Uproxx)

"I've apologized to him in person. I'm on the web for the world to see: I was wrong. He was right. He's now the highest-paid actor in Hollywood. He has transcended this business. And I think any time a Superstar can give what he's given to the WWE, and then transcend the WWE, that's good for all of us."

Cena made his WWE return after months of absence on the latest episode of SmackDown Live, where he revealed that AJ Styles will be his opponent at the Royal Rumble, which takes place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, on 29 January.
