The former editor-at-large of American Vogue, Andre Leon Talley, has crowned Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and their daughter North West as the leading family of fashion.

The fashion mastermind made the tribute on Zappos Couture, an online American retail site which he is the artistic director of.

In the feature he described the family's recent appearance at Paris Fashion Week as an example of their ability to radiate style icon status.

"The three were a force of iconic moments as they pivoted around Paris, the mecca of fashion, during the last fashion shows this month: the Nick and Nora Charles of our times, the Liz and Dick Burton, without the brawls," Talley argued.

The 65-year-old also documented some of their memorable fashion moments, from Kardashian's braless black blazer Lanvin look to West's vintage Dries van Noten.

It is not surprising Talley has so much to say about Kimye, as everything from their wedding in May to the the spring/summer 2015 shows in Paris last month have been drenched in high fashion appeal.

They reached a pinnacle earlier this year by appearing on the highly coveted cover of American Vogue and were featured inside the issue as a family.

Adding to their high-fashion credentials, Kardashian had a shoot in ex-French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld's well-respected CR Fashion Book and then, proving to be the most stylish celebrity toddler on the block, North featured in her very own shoot in the fashion bible soon after.

The family also share close ties with some of the industry's most well-respected designers including Riccardo Tisci and Olivier Rousteing.

Kardashian's younger sister Kendall Jenner is also becoming a force in the fashion industry, with an impressive modelling career and runway appearances at the biggest shows around the world.
