Kim Kardashian's marriage to Kris Humphries may have only lasted 72 days but it looks like the brief union paid off.

According to divorce documents, obtained by Radar Online, the reality star made an impressive $2m from her 2011 wedding to the NBA basketball player.

The former lovebirds got married in front of close family and friends in an extravagant televised affair.

Financial statements submitted by the 34-year-old star during the legal proceedings of her divorce, showing her income and spending habits, have finally confirmed reports that their marriage came with lucrative benefits.

Not only did Kardashian receive various payments for media exclusives, sponsorship deals, TV rights and magazine covers, including $1.1m (£681,000) for "People magazine exclusive for wedding" ahead of her lavish nuptials. She was also given $90,000 for hosting her hen party at Tao nightclub in Las Vegas.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was paid $1m in total from the airing her wedding on E!, which is listed on the document as "Payment #1" of $500,000 from E! Entertainment for the E! Wedding Special, as well as a payment from E! For $250,000 for "Project W".

During her marriage, she spent $27,250 a month on clothes and accessories, and $6,000 on fitness and travel, while her mortgage came to $10,698.

She has since moved on with rapper Kanye West, who she married in May and has a daughter with.
