David Harbour, Lily Allen Divorce: Songstress Confirms New Romance With Famous Dynasty Heir
After a public split, even a private text can become news.

David Harbour Lily Allen divorce is no longer the only storyline around Lily Allen, after the singer confirmed she has a new boyfriend in a Grazia interview published on 24 February.
Allen ended months of speculation in the least subtle way possible. Asked who she had last texted, the 40 year old blushed and squealed, 'My boyfriend!' It is a tiny quote, but it lands because Allen's last year has been so publicly about the opposite of romance, heartbreak turned into headlines, then heartbreak turned into songs.
Allen met Stranger Things actor David Harbour on Hinge, The Tab says, and the pair were married from 2020 to 2025. Almost a year after finalising the divorce, she now appears to be dating Jonah Freud, a 28 year old London based writer and artist.
A few things are solid. Allen has said she has a boyfriend. Beyond that, there is still plenty that has not been confirmed in public, including what either side wants to share and what they would rather keep off the internet.

Freud as the great great grandson of psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud and he comes with a family tree that feels built for a gossip column. His father is Matthew Freud, described as a PR entrepreneur, and his mother is Caroline Hutton, who was once married to Princess Diana's brother, Charles Spencer.
Freud is also the founder of Reference Point, which The Tab calls a quirky bookshop and bar in London. The detail matters because it sketches the sort of life Allen seems to be edging towards after a marriage that played out in the full glare of fame.
The two have been spotted together several times in recent months. They were first linked publicly at Allen's London Christmas party in December last year, where they were seen kissing. After that came sightings in Rome, then a Valentino fashion show in Paris.
There is no comment from Harbour, and no statement from representatives for Allen or Freud is included either. That leaves the confirmation resting on Allen's own line, delivered with the kind of embarrassed delight that does not sound scripted.

David Harbour Lily Allen Divorce And What She Said About Dating After It
Part of the fascination here is that Allen has already told people, bluntly, how grim the post-divorce landscape can be. In October she told Interview Magazine online dating was 'depressing' and 'awful, especially if you're going through heartbreak'.
The site adds that Allen said she was not really looking to date another celebrity. In that context, Jonah Freud reads less like a red carpet move and more like the sort of person you actually meet when you are tired of being treated as a story.
It also connects back to West End Girl, the album The Tab says is widely believed to have been inspired by her split from Harbour. Allen has spoken about how vulnerable the record made her feel, and she said it was written in just ten days after the breakup, according to the report. She also insisted it was 'not a cruel album' but 'an act of desperation'.
Allen is set to return to the stage soon, launching a UK theatre and arena tour. If she turns up smiling, it will be tempting to pin the grin to a new boyfriend, but the more interesting possibility is that she has simply found a way to sing the hard bits without flinching.
