Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman's body was found in a car boot.
Police discovered the body in the boot of a car in Heywood, Greater Manchester on 7.35pm on Thursday (13 August) after a tip-off.
A car matching the description was seen on Claybank Street at around 3.50pm on Friday. Police followed the vehicle to River Street, where it was abandoned.
Two men were held near the vehicle and arrested on suspicion of murder.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: "The men remain in custody for questioning and enquiries are ongoing."
Road closures are in place in Claybank Street, Bamford Road and Bury and Rochdale Road while police investigate.
