The filing alleged that Boebert had sexual relationships with several members of her staff and repeated a separate claim that Boebert and Navarro Ratzlaff had a sexual encounter involving Gaetz.

Gaetz addressed the allegation on X, formerly Twitter, after it circulated publicly. He wrote: 'I am requesting that anyone with video of me in this alleged 'threesome' release said evidence IMMEDIATELY! Unedited, please.'

The reported encounter allegedly involved Gaetz, Boebert, and Navarro Ratzlaff, who previously served as Boebert's district director. Sources Say News reported that American Muckrakers did not claim to possess a video and that no such footage had emerged.

One person responding to Gaetz mocked him over previous allegations involving sexual activity, prompting him to reply: 'lol. That's funny.'

The Story Behind the Threesome Allegation

The allegations appeared in a 17 September filing by David B. Wheeler of American Muckrakers with the House Committee on Ethics. The filing is an ethics complaint, but it is not an official Ethics Committee finding, and the committee has not stated whether it has begun reviewing the claims.

A source cited by American Muckrakers claimed that Boebert and Navarro Ratzlaff had a threesome with former representative Gaetz, although the claim has not been independently verified. The group has stated it never claimed to possess video of the alleged encounter, and no such footage has surfaced.

The wider allegations rely largely on unnamed sources. Navarro Ratzlaff has strongly denied the claims, calling them 'entirely false, defamatory, and beyond ridiculous'.

Matt Gaetz Faced Earlier Sex, Drug, and Misconduct Allegations

The latest claim follows years of separate investigations into Gaetz's personal conduct. In December 2024, the House Committee on Ethics released a report after a lengthy inquiry, finding substantial evidence that Gaetz paid women for sexual activity between 2017 and 2020 and engaged in sexual activity with a 17-year-old girl in 2017.

The committee also found substantial evidence that Gaetz used or possessed illegal drugs, including cocaine and ecstasy, between 2017 and 2019.

It concluded that there was substantial evidence Gaetz had violated House rules, state and federal laws, and other standards of conduct, while finding insufficient evidence to conclude that he violated the federal sex-trafficking statute.

Gaetz has previously denied allegations investigated by the House Ethics Committee. The US Department of Justice did not bring criminal charges against Gaetz following its investigation, while the House Ethics Committee later published its own findings.

Lauren Boebert Denies Sexual Relationships With Staff

Boebert has rejected the allegations concerning her conduct with staff members. Speaking to Sources Say News, she stated that she is neither lesbian nor bisexual and denied ever having an inappropriate relationship or sexual involvement with any member of her staff.

She also addressed the separate allegation involving Gaetz and her former aide, dismissing the claim with the remark: 'Creative, I'll give him that!'
