Liam Hemsworth has said there is "no news" to report regarding his relationship with Miley Cyrus. The couple's relationship status has been the focus of ongoing speculation following reports that their engagement was back on.

The Wrecking Ball singer was recently spotted flashing the diamond engagement ring originally given to her by the Hollywood star in 2012, fueling rumours that they might soon walk down the aisle.

After a much publicized split in 2013, the pair rekindled their relationship during the New Year's festivities in 2015, and have reportedly set up home together in Malibu. However, last week, when he was asked about his wedding plans, Hemsworth told TV Week that he was 'not engaged' to Miley.

While the pair were recently spotted hand-in-hand and looking loved up at the LA premiere of The Huntsman: Winter's War, the Australian actor is keeping tight-lipped about his relationship. When questioned again during an interview with Studio 10 about his plans to marry, the Independence Day star, 26 said bluntly: "There's no news there that you should know about, no."

He explained that he doesn't concern himself with the public interest in his love life. "I don't Google myself anymore," he admitted. "There was a time when I did but I don't think it's a healthy thing to do. I know there's a lot of attention, but it doesn't play in on my life, and I don't allow it to affect me in any way."

While Liam doesn't seem to be in any hurry to tie the knot, Miley apparently has a different take on their relationship. According to Hollywood Life a source said: "Miley feels that they are engaged and will get married, Liam is happy as well in the relationship but he believes that he would have to ask for her hand in marriage again to make it official again. He is more traditional, where Miley is resorting back to the relationship they had before they broke up. So it really depends on who you ask, he didn't mean it as a diss towards Miley. They just have different ideas where they officially stand right now," the insider adds.

The couple moved in together in January and while there are reports of disagreements over the singer's excessive fondness for marijuana, the 23-year-old is said to be ready to do whatever it takes to save her relationship with Liam, including cutting back on the weed and toning down her outrageous antics. For the moment though, the actor is showing no signs that he plans to put a ring on it anytime soon.
