Nicki Minaj Praises Lara Trump as 'Very Gracious & Inviting' After Fox News Interview

The 43-year-old rapper appeared on My View with Lara Trump, where she urged young Americans to take part in the 2026 US midterm elections and 'vote red'.

After the interview drew criticism online, Minaj asked her fans to 'show Lara some love', praising the Fox News host and her team as 'very gracious & inviting'.

During the interview, Minaj discussed President Donald Trump, the upcoming midterms and her views on the Democratic Party. She also made comments about Black voters that drew attention online.

Nicki Minaj's Message to Lara Trump

Minaj's message came after an X user praised Lara Trump for her energy and engagement during the interview.

The user described Lara's performance as 'amazing' and praised her energy throughout the conversation.

Minaj then quote-posted the message and addressed her own fans.

'Barbz, show Lara some love. Not only did she do a great interview, but she was very gracious & inviting the entire time. Her & her entire team,' Minaj wrote.

She then thanked both Lara and Fox News, adding, 'Thank you, @LaraLeaTrump & thank you, @FoxNews.'

Lara later shared a screenshot of Minaj's post on her Instagram Story.

'Thank you, Nicki,' Lara wrote alongside clapping and pink heart emojis, while also directing followers to the full interview.

Why Nicki Minaj's Fox Interview Drew Criticism

During the Fox News appearance, Minaj encouraged young Americans to become involved in the 2026 midterm elections.

'Please, and vote red now,' she said, referring to Republican candidates.

Minaj also urged young people not to assume their voices would not be heard. The midterm elections are scheduled for 3 November 2026.

Minaj also spoke positively about President Trump, describing him as 'a very authentic person' and saying she had made it her mission to support him.

She also criticised Democrats during the interview, saying they were 'too caught up in pop culture' and describing some of their behaviour as 'petty and childish'.

Nicki Minaj's Comments About Black Voters

Minaj also discussed what she described as political pressure affecting Black voters.

She said some Black Americans felt they were expected to 'just vote blue' and argued that people should be able to question candidates and make different political choices.

She further claimed that Black Americans who challenged Democratic candidates could face 'smear campaigns' and what she described as 'outright nasty behaviour'.

Minaj made the claims during the interview, and the reports reviewed did not independently substantiate them.

Irish Star reported criticism of Minaj's remarks online, although some users also responded positively.

One X user praised Lara's energy and said she appeared 'intrigued' and engaged throughout the interview.

Minaj responded to the post by publicly thanking Lara and the Fox News team.

What Happened After Nicki Minaj's Fox Appearance?

The interview aired over the weekend, and Minaj later praised Lara Trump and the Fox News team in a post on X.

Her response appeared to focus on the treatment she received during the interview, rather than addressing the criticism surrounding her political comments.

By asking her fans to 'show Lara some love', Minaj publicly signalled her appreciation for the host and her production team.

Lara's Instagram response then acknowledged Minaj's praise while linking followers to the full interview.

The exchange provided a more positive follow-up to an appearance that had attracted attention largely because of Minaj's political views and her direct appeal to young voters ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.
