Google has just released the most stable version (v4.0) of Nova Launcher with support for full Material Design UI to enhance the look and functionality of the home screen for your Android device.

The redesigned version of the Nova Launcher brings a bunch of powerful features and enhancements, which are listed below (courtesy Android Police):

  • Full Material Design
    • All settings screens/dialogs
    • More animations
    • Edit Shortcut dialog tinted based on colors of the icon
    • New icons
    • Bundled wallpapers
  • Rebased on top of Launcher3
    • Individual icon layout settings (size, font, etc) in Desktop, Drawer, etc
    • Max icon size boosted to 150%
    • Widget Search
    • Pull down in the drawer for search
    • New grouped Widgets drawer
  • Support for Android for Work (Lollipop), Requires Android 4.1+

The new 4.0 version of Nova Launcher introduces a refreshingly new UI and preserves all the customisation features along with Android's standard visual style from the original Nova launcher.

The Regular and Prime versions of the latest Nova Launcher are now available for download via Google Play Store. The former can be downloaded for free, while the latter costs you $4 for all the additional features it brings such as icon swipes, unread counts, gestures and more.
