Producers of the 86th Academy Award have announced the celebrity presenters who will give away Oscars at the annual award gala in California on 2 March.

The Oscars 2014 will take place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles. American stand-up comedian and actress Ellen DeGeneres will host the event that will honour outstanding film achievements in Hollywood in 2013.

The presenters of the Oscars 2014 include both past Oscar winners and this year's nominees.

"We are very excited that the Hollywood community will be turning out in force for Sunday's Oscar ceremony," said Oscar producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron.

"We sought to include a tremendous diversity of stars to represent not only this year's nominees, but the legacy of the motion picture business as well."

Among the presenters are: Nominee Amy Adams, Kristen Bell, Jessica Biel, Jim Carrey, Glenn Close, Bradley Cooper, Penélope Cruz, Benedict Cumberbatch, Viola Davis,Daniel Day-Lewis, Robert De Niro, Zac Efron and Sally Field.

Other presenters: Harrison Ford, Jamie Foxx, Andrew Garfield, Jennifer Garner, Whoopi Goldberg, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway, Goldie Hawn, Chris Hemsworth, Kate Hudson, Samuel L. Jackson, Angelina Jolie, Michael B. Jordan, Anna Kendrick, Jennifer Lawrence and Matthew McConaughey.

The awards gala will see more A-list celebrities on stage to hand out the awards, including Ewan McGregor, Bill Murray, Kim Novak, Tyler Perry, Brad Pitt, Sidney Poitier, Gabourey Sidibe, Will Smith and Kevin Spacey.

Britain-born actresses Naomi Watts and Emma Watson have also been announced as presenters for the 86th Academy Awards.

Jason Sudeikis, Channing Tatum, Charlize Theron, John Travolta, Christoph Waltz and Kerry Washington are among others who will be handing out statuettes.
