The Samsung Galaxy S3 at Sprint is set to be officially released on 21 June. With the launch of the smartphone on Sprint, the carrier to reduce the price of the last generation model - the Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic 4G Touch on the same day to a low price of $99.99 (£63.62) according to TechnoBuffalo. According to reports, the information about the price drop is carried by a "trusted source" who confirms that the Now Network will be dropping the price of the Epic 4G Touch on 21 June.

According to TechnoBuffalo, the best thing about the debut of a new flagship smartphone is the fact that users can expect the price drop on the previous year's model. The device which was released last September became Sprint's top-selling phone. It was priced at $499.99 (£318.15) SIM-free and $149 (£94.8) on a two-year contract.
"Sprint's Epic 4G Touch is clearly overshadowed by the new Galaxy S3. But it can still beat a lot of current mid-range devices and even some high-renders," claims Android Authority.
It comes with a 4.52in Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels at 206 ppi. It is covered with a Corning Gorilla glass and runs TouchWiz 4.0 user Interface. It runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and powered by the Exynos chipset with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor. It features a rear-facing camera of eight megapixel with auto-focus, LED flash and a front-facing camera of two megapixel. It includes 16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot with an additional space of 32GB. The connectivity features Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot and Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP and HS.
