Sony Mobile confirms Android 5.1 Lollipop release for supported Xperia devices [Full list]
Sony Mobile has just announced the complete list of devices that will be receiving the long-awaited Android 5.1 update in July, with the existing KitKat devices getting bumped directly to the latest version of Lollipop, around the same time.
The company has also clarified on its official Xperia Blog that the Xperia M2 series will also get updated directly to Android 5.1, following the update roll-out to the Xperia Z series.

- Xperia Z4
- Xperia Z4 Tablet
- Xperia Z3+
- Xperia Z3+ Dual
- Xperia Z3 (Z3 Dual)
- Xperia Z3 Compact
- Xperia Z3 Compact Tablet
- Xperia Z2
- Xperia Z2 Tablet
- Xperia Z1
- Xperia Z1 Compact
- Xperia Z Ultra
- Xperia Z
- Xperia ZL
- Xperia ZR
- Xperia Tablet Z
- Xperia T2 Ultra (T2 Ultra Dual)

The Xperia M4 Aqua, Xperia E4 and Xperia X4 are the only exceptions, which are expected to get the Android 5.1 update some time later in August.
On the contrary, Xperia T3 and Xperia E3 users are in for some bad news, as the company has not yet announced the availability of this update either on Sony Blog or official product pages.
