Star Wars: The Force Awakens is breaking box office records worldwide, and fans of the space thriller cannot stop praising it. The movie, directed by JJ Abrams, is the first one in a planned trilogy from Disney/Lucasfilm.

The movie begins 30 years after the events of The Return of the Jedi and Abrams succeeded in making the transition from the older generation to the younger ones. The seventh instalment introduced new leads who were able to win the hearts of Star Wars fans. But there were many unanswered questions in the movie, especially about the mysterious origin of Rey and Supreme Leader Snoke.

This has allowed fans to propose crazy theories surrounding them. Movie Pilot speculates that Snoke (Andy Serkis) is none other than the immensely powerful Sith Lord Darth Plagueis.

In the movie Revenge of the Sith, Palpatine (the Emperor) informed a young Anakin Skywalker of his power of immortality.

"Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith so powerful and so wise, he could use the Force to influence the midi-chlorians to create life. He had such a knowledge of the dark side, he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying," Darth Sidious/Palpatine told Anakin in the third instalment of the Star Wars franchise.

The website speculates that the Sith Lord may have survived the attack of the Emperor and have found a way to return to the galactic universe.

Rey's origin: Daisy Ridley's character as an unknown space junk scavenger has won fans' heart, but her origin and the mysterious inheritance of the force has puzzled many of them. Earlier there were speculations that she may be the daughter of the former Jedi Master Luke Skywalker. But a new theory has been circulating on the internet suggesting that she is not the daughter but instead is the reincarnated version of Anakin, aka Darth Vader.

Movie News Guide speculates that Rey's immense Jedi powers are quite similar to that of the Dark Lord Darth Vader. In Star Wars 7, Kylo Ren realizes that he cannot control her and during their last battle in the movie, Rey uses her force to overpower the son of Han Solo and General Leia.

Another website, Over Mental, believes that Ridley's character gets special and intense visions of darkness when she touches Anakin's lightsaber. The website also notes that her vision is much more powerful than that of Luke and there is a possibility that she might be the dark lord who was reincarnated to an orphaned space scavenger living on a deserted planet.

It remains to be seen as how many of these fan theories will be incorporated in the eighth instalment of Star Wars, which will be directed by Rian Johnson. The movie is scheduled to be released in 2017.
