Arsenal feature heavily in today's transfer rumours and the Daily Mirror claims that Arsene Wenger will face competition from Real Madrid in his quest to sign highly rated Belgian Eden Hazard.

The Lille ace has been on the radar of Arsenal for some time and it is rumoured that they failed in a transfer bid in the summer but they are set to return with an improved offer to land their man in January.

However, Real Madrid is also keeping tabs on the player and will utilise Zinedine Zidane to persuade Hazard to join Jose Mourinho's Bernabeu revolution in the summer. The news is said to be a major blow to Arsenal's chances of landing him but the newspaper claims Wenger, who has tracked Hazard for two years, is hoping to approach Lille again.

Arsenal are also said to be in the market to sign Real Madrid super star Kaka.

The Brazilian playmaker was said to be on the radar of Arsene Wenger in the summer but a concrete offer never materialised but reports from TalkSport claim that the Gunners will make a bid to sign the former AC Milan player in January.

It is believed that Wenger will try and sign the player on loan, something Jose Mourinho and Real Madrid are not keen on.

Tottenham are ready to fend off further interest from Chelsea in the coming transfer window by offering Luka Modric a new bumper contract.

It was believed that Chelsea offered Modric upwards of £130,000 per week to sign for them in the summer and Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is said to now be ready to offer Modric £100,000 a year over six years, according to the Daily Mail.

New Inter Milan manager Claudio Ranieri is said to be ready to offer Liverpool £13m for Dirk Kuyt this January.

According to Club Call, the Italian giants, who tried to sign Kuyt in the summer, will make the offer in light of Kuyt's omission from the Liverpool first team. The Dutch forward has found himself on the periphery this season and is said to be looking for first team football and move in January could transpire.

Liverpool and Tottenham are said to be ready to do battle this January in a bid to land Brazilian forward Leandro Damiao.

The Brazilian striker was said to be on the radar of Harry Redknapp in the summer with reports that Internacional turned down a £15m bod for the player. The Brazilian club values their striker closer to £22m and Liverpool are now said to be monitoring the player closely and will eye up a bid this January in order to land their man.
