After a highly successful season 1, Transformers: Robots In Disguise will return with season 2 on Cartoon Network in the US. The show is expected to premiere in April this year. Hasbro Studios confirmed that fans of the animation series will see more action from Bumblebee and his team of inexperienced Autobots in the upcoming season.
In the series, Optimus Prime will ask Bumblebee to form a team of new robots to fight some escaped Decepticon prisoners. The peace-loving character from the Transformers movie, will now train Grimlock, Sideswipe, Strongarm, Fixit, Windblade and Drift to take on evil robotic beasts who are set to destroy humanity on Earth.
After struggling to form a strong team, Bumblebee will return with his Autobots to destroy more the Decepticons. According to Hasbro, the series will send out a message of "teamwork, companionship and the importance of standing up to wrongdoers."
The synopsis of the show reads as follows:
"Transformers: Robots in Disguise continues to be a massive hit with kids across the country, launching with an outstanding debut season on Cartoon Network," said Stephen Davis, chief content officer, at Hasbro.
"Season two will bring back Bumblebee and his Autobots team for all new action-packed battles, fun-filled adventures and other humorous new characters with vibrant personalities that made season one a hit with kids. We continue to listen to our viewers' feedback and are bringing back many fan-favorite characters, as well as some great surprises we know kids of all ages are going to love," he added.
