In-form Wolfsburg, who currently sit second in the Bundesliga, against Inter Milan could certainly also be one to watch while Liverpool will no doubt rue their failure to advance with Besiktas handed a winnable tie against Club Brugge.

A few notable headlines from that draw, namely two derby clashes as Villarreal take on fellow La Liga outfit and defending Europa League champions Sevilla and Fiorentina playing Roma.

Everton will no doubt fancy their chances of progressing, but face what could be a very difficult trip to Kiev.

It is worth noting that crowd trouble marred Dynamo's last 32 tie against Guingamp this week and the game had to be temporarily halted 15 minutes from time while the away fans were taken out of the stadium.

Here we go. Hang on to your hats....

Jerzy Dudek, he of Liverpool penalty shootout fame, is the guest for the draw.

Once the tedious technical jargon has been fully explained, we will be underway...

As well as no seeding structure, there are also no restrictions preventing teams from the same country going up against each other in the round of 16.

There has, however, been a ruling from the UEFA Emergency Panel that prevents Russian and Ukrainian opposition from being paired together.

Everton have covered a lot of ground in the Europa League already this season, finishing top of Group H ahead of Wolfsburg, Krasnodar and Lille before dispatching of Swiss opposition with ease.

Roberto Martinez's side are not enjoying the best of campaigns domestically, so a favourable draw today would be a blessing.

The draw is taking place in Nyon, Switzerland and should be getting underway at 12:00 GMT, subject no doubt to the usual ramble involved in such events.

A reminder that today's draw is NOT seeded.

Here are the teams that will be taking part:

Ajax

Besiktas

Club Brugge

Dinamo Moscow

Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk

Dynamo Kiev

Everton

Fiorentina

Inter Milan

Napoli

AS Roma

Sevilla

Good morning and welcome to our live coverage of today's Europa League last 16 draw.

The round of 32 was a humbling experience for several British teams in Europe's second-tier competition, with only Everton remaining in contention following an impressive 7-2 aggregate victory over Swiss outfit Young Boys.

Dejan Lovren's botched penalty attempt saw Liverpool exit at the hands of Besiktas, while 10-man Celtic's valiant effort inside the San Siro last night was sadly not enough as they were eliminated by Inter Milan.

Tottenham, who were confident of progressing under Mauricio Pochettino, were possibly guilty of taking their eye off the ball ahead of Sunday's League Cup final against Chelsea and paid the price against Vincenzo Montella's Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
