The Walking Dead season 6 premieres this Sunday (11 October) with what is reported to be the most intense and action-packed start to a season. While Rick and group deal with internal conflicts in Alexandria, a horde of zombies are all set to wreck havoc for the characters.

According to reports, episode 1 titled First Time Again, will kick off the season with Rick and others facing a major zombie threat - a herd of the undead larger than anything that has been shown on the series before. Does this mean, fans would get to see a major death in the first episode itself? Well, we will have to wait and watch.

The synopsis of the premiere episode reads: "Rick and the group are still having trouble assimilating into Alexandria. Will a new threat bring them closer together or drive them further apart?"

A massive fan premiere for season 6 was held at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday 9( October) where series creator Robert Kirkman addressed the packed crowd, about what they can expect from the upcoming season of the popular zombie drama.

"This is only the beginning of the most intense season," said Kirkman before reminding the crowd that any character on the series can be killed off at any time. (via Tech Insider)

Several cast members as well as the producers have teased that the upcoming season will feature a lot more on the zombie threat as compared to the last few seasons. In an earlier interview with Entertainment Weekly, the show's lead actor Andrew Lincoln said, "There are more walkers than we've ever faced before. I think the storytelling is astonishing. Scott has kind of picked up very much where we left off and he's spinning 18 principal storylines in an incredibly complicated and cool way."
