Manchester United player Jesse Lingard is in a secret romance with Instagram sensation Jena Frumes, according to a new report.

The 25-year-old winger from Cheshire has been dating the Insta-famous bombshell, and things must be heating up since she flew over to the UK from the US – where she lives – to spend his birthday with him.

Frumes touched down in Manchester and happily posed next to the footballer with his birthday cake in some adorable snaps posted to her Instagram stories.

Lingard is being more guarded about the relationship, however, refraining from posting anything about his new love interest on social media.

Frumes shared everything from her rumoured boyfriend's special night, from the drinks to a video of him dancing in his kitchen. She also posted happy birthday messages onto his Twitter and Instagram, and posed in a Manchester United T-shirt on her social media.

A source told The Sun: "They've been on some dates, but I don't know if it's serious between them yet. She lives in LA and he's in Manchester so it's hard for them."

They are said to have met a year ago in the US and have stayed in contact, but have only started dating recently.

So who is Jena Frumes?

She's the super famous model you've never heard of. With 2.6m followers on Instagram, she's got more fans than rising catwalk sensation Kaia Gerber – who is Cindy Crawford's daughter.

LA-based Frumes also has a YouTube channel where she has approximately 12.7K subscribers where talks about fashion, beauty and her life.

The 24-year-old was born in New Jersey and previously dated Mariah Carey's ex-husband Nick Cannon when she appeared on his TV show Wild N' Out. She was also romantically involved with NFL player Antonio Brown, but he dumped her to go back to his pregnant girlfriend Chelsie Kyriss, who was having their third child.

She gained the attention of the media earlier this year for tweeting Brown's phone number out after he broke up with her.

The model is most renowned for her Instagram presence but has been featured in several forums and sites across the web. Frumes also starred in the music video for Jacob Latimore's single Ah Yeah.
