The Dispute, The Legal History, And What It Means For Their Family And Public Perception

Peter Andre is a British-Australian singer and media personality whose career spans three decades in both music and television. Recently he has made headlines as he took to social media to 'debunk' claims made by ex-wife Katie Price. But what do we really know about Peter Andre?
Born Peter James Andrea on 27 February 1973 in the Harrow area of London, he is the son of Greek Cypriot parents. He was raised as a Jehovah's Witness before later becoming non-practising. At six, he and his family relocated to Australia, later settling on the Gold Coast.
Early Life and Beginnings
In 1989, aged 16, Peter Andre appeared on Australian talent show New Faces. He was offered a recording contract worth £86,000 (approximately $146,000). Sessions with Phil Harding and Ian Curnow at PWL Studios produced Drive Me Crazy, which reached No. 72 in Australia, and Gimme Little Sign, which peaked at No. 3 and spent 31 weeks on the charts.
Breakthrough and Early Chart Success
In 1993, he received an ARIA Award for the highest-selling Australian single of the year. His second studio album, released on 30 September 1996, reached No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart. The single Mysterious Girl peaked at No. 2 in the UK in 1996, and returned to No. 1 on re-release in 2004 after his appearance on the reality show I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!
On 14 September 2009, Peter released his sixth studio album Revelation, with notable tracks Behind Closed Doors and Unconditional ranking in the UK charts. Behind Closed Doors peaked at No. 4 and Unconditional at No. 50, while the album itself reached No. 3. This period marked a blend of musical output alongside television projects.
Katie Price Era & Familial Ties
Andre met Katie Price on the show I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! and started a relationship with her soon after. They married on 10 September 2005 at Highclere Castle and have two children, Junior and Princess, together.
During their marriage, the pair launched the Katie & Peter franchise on ITV2, which documented their life from 2004 to 2009. After their separation in 2009, Andre pursued his own TV projects and, in December 2023, joined GB News as a weekend presenter.
Andre later dated Emily MacDonagh, a doctor, and they married in 2015 at Mamhead House. The couple have a son born in 2016 and a daughter born in April 2024. They live in Surrey, and also maintain a home in Kiti, Cyprus, reflecting his roots.
Notable Milestones and Recent Activities
In 2014, he released the song Kid for the film Mr. Peabody & Sherman. In the same year he fronted Iceland's television advertisements. In 2015 he competed in the thirteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing and finished seventh. He also expanded his TV work and charity projects during this time.
Recently, Peter Andre returned to the spotlight when he broke a 16-year silence to address what he calls baseless accusations from his ex-wife Katie Price regarding their children. In a pointed social media post, he says Junior and Princess were placed in his care in 2018 for their safety. He referenced 2011 and 2015 court cases that found Price had made false claims, resulting in her being ordered to pay substantial damages and issue an apology.
He warns that there are more lies to be addressed in the coming months. Meanwhile, Price has spoken on her recent podcast about being banned from Princess's 18th birthday. She has suggested a sit-down to resolve their feud, while also expressing pride in her children.
