Donald Trump protesters, unable to get anywhere to close to the White House or Trump Tower to express their discontent, turned to his Hollywood star on the Walk Of Fame in California. The foot path fixture has been vandalised time and again and been rescued each time by Trump supporters.

Most recently, a student from Wyoming called Makenna stopped by his star to clean it up and pose for a photo, which she shared on Twitter. "Stopped to clean @realDonaldTrump Hollywood Star. Nothing but respect for MY President. #RaisedRight," she captioned the images.

Numerous Republicans and alt-right supporters immediately praised the woman's efforts and her respect for the president, earning her over 200,000 likes on the social media site. But it was not until the post caught the attention of those Trump protesters (and the internet's comedians) that it really began to take flight.

People started to share their own versions of Makenna's post, but this time posing next to stars of celebrities and characters that they felt would be more appropriate to be referred to as "MY President". These include Shrek, Godzilla, Meryl Streep and Danny Devitor. Daniel Radcliffe got caught up in the mix, but was nominated for "head of magical law enforcement".
