Amber Heard Leaves Hollywood Behind? Actress Reveals New Life in Spain With Children and Fitness
Heard clocked an impressive 1:39:54 in her first half marathon while embracing a quieter life in Spain

Amber Heard is living a different life away from Hollywood, raising her three children in Spain while embracing running, yoga, cooking and a quieter family routine.
The 40-year-old Aquaman star recently completed her first half marathon in San Sebastián. Heard finished the 21.097-kilometre (13.1-mile) race on 4 October in 1 hour, 39 minutes and 54 seconds, according to race organisers.
Amber Heard Embraces a New Life in Spain
Heard has been based in Madrid for several years, where reports have highlighted a relatively low-profile routine with her children. Heard moved to Spain after a period of intense media attention, including the high-profile legal battle with Johnny Depp.
A recent TikTok post about Heard's life in Spain also highlighted her cooking at home, yoga sessions and time with her children, alongside her running. Her Instagram activity has similarly shown glimpses of life away from the Hollywood spotlight. She has kept much of her family life private from public view.
Amber Heard Completes First Half Marathon
Heard celebrated her latest achievement on Instagram, writing, 'First half marathon, eskerrik asko Donosti! 21 kilometres in 1:39 min!!' The Basque phrase means 'thank you very much', while 'Donosti' refers to San Sebastián.
Heard completed the San Sebastián Rural Kutxa Half Marathon on 4 October, covering 21.097 kilometres in less than 1 hour and 40 minutes.
The half marathon was not her first major running achievement this year. Heard previously completed a 10K (6.2 mile) race in Madrid in June, sharing a photo with her eldest daughter, Oonagh, at the finish line.
Heard has also described running as a way to relieve stress, clear her mind and stay focused, making the sport an increasingly visible part of her life in Spain.
Heard Is Raising Three Children in Madrid
She is the mother of Oonagh Paige, born in 2021, and twins Agnes and Ocean, whom she welcomed in 2025. When announcing the twins, Heard said becoming a mother 'by myself and on my own terms' had been the most humbling experience of her life.
Reports have described Heard spending time with her children around Madrid and maintaining a relatively private family routine. In September, she was photographed spending time outdoors with all three children in the Spanish capital.
Amber Heard's New Life Sparks Mixed Reaction Online
Heard's latest glimpse of life in Spain has also reignited debate among social-media users.
Some commenters expressed support for the actress. One wrote, 'she's deserve happiness', while another wrote, 'anything but accountability'.
Has Amber Heard Really Left Hollywood?
Heard's new life in Spain has prompted speculation that she has left Hollywood behind, but a permanent retirement from acting has not been confirmed.
Her last two released films were In the Fire and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, both released in 2023. She has not appeared in another released Hollywood film since, although she returned to acting in 2025 with the stage production Spirit of the People at the Williamstown Theatre Festival.
Her theatre appearance means describing Heard as having completely abandoned acting would go further than the available evidence supports.
What is clearer is that her public life has shifted away from mainstream Hollywood, with Spain, motherhood, fitness and a quieter routine now taking a more prominent place in the actress's life.
