Bates Motel season 4 premiere
Bates Motel season 4 consists of 10 episodes featuring Norman's madness A&E

Book your room for a creepy stay as Bates Motel returns with season 4 from 7 March on A&E. The series, a prequel to Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 film Psycho, will bring more madness from the mentally unstable Norman and his mother Norma Bates, going ahead.

In a trailer released by A&E, it seems like the teen son of the Bates matriarch would become more of threat to society as he impersonates his mother multiple times. In the sneak peek he says: "You [Norma] are dead to me." Then he is seen looking for his mother and screams, "Mother! Where are you?"

Although the show has been renewed for season 5, there is speculation that Norma could be killed by her son, whose continued downward spiral will have a deep effect on the family.

Meanwhile, the show's executive producer Kerry Ehrin teased that season 4 will focus more on the relationship between the and mother-son. "It is a marriage that is having problems. But it's still a marriage. They remain so incredibly connected and they will always try to hang on to that," she told TV Line.

The official synopsis of the premiere episode titled A Danger To Himself And Others reads:

This season Norma becomes increasingly fearful and desperate, going to great lengths to find Norman the professional help he needs. This further complicates their once unbreakable trust while Norman struggles to maintain his grip on reality. Sheriff Romero (Nestor Carbonell) once again finds himself drawn back into Norma and Norman's lives. Will things finally heat up between Norma and the other man in her life, Sheriff Romero, and just how much further will he go to protect her?

In the season 3 finale, Norma had escaped from the basement and ran with Bradley, but Norman started envisioning his mother and killed Bradley. He later drowned her body.

"We left with a lot of cliffhangers — Bradley had just been killed, Norman thinks his mother did it, the actual Norma has no idea where her son is, Emma's going in for a lung transplant. So there are a lot of threads we [wanted] to pick up immediately," Ehrin told TV Line over how the series will progress further.

Bates Motel season 4 will premiere on A&E on 7 March 2016.
