'Beauty in Black' Renewed: Season 4 Release Date, 11-Day Filming Schedule Revealed After Cancellation Reversal
The reported 11-day shoot in Atlanta and Chicago follows Netflix's renewal of Tyler Perry's drama

Netflix's surprise decision to keep Tyler Perry's Beauty in Black alive is already moving into its next phase, with Season 4 reportedly preparing for an unusually rapid production schedule.
Filming for Beauty in Black Season 4 is currently scheduled to run from 19 October to 30 October 2026, according to production information reported by What's on Netflix and subsequently cited by ComingSoon. The 11-day window comes less than three months after Netflix officially renewed the drama, reversing earlier plans for Season 3 to be its final outing.
The fast turnaround raises an obvious question for viewers: could new episodes arrive sooner than expected? While Netflix has confirmed Season 4, the streaming giant has yet to announce an official release date.
'Beauty in Black' Season 4 Filming Begins in October
The reported production schedule has filming taking place across Atlanta, Georgia, and Chicago, Illinois, between 19 and 30 October. The dates and locations could still change as production plans develop.
An 11-day shoot may appear exceptionally short for a scripted television season, but Perry has built a reputation for rapidly producing his film and television projects.
The latest schedule also signals how quickly Netflix and Perry are moving after the Season 4 renewal. Season 3 only arrived on the streaming service on 27 August, with all eight episodes released together.
Netflix Reversed Planned Ending
Netflix officially renewed Beauty in Black for Season 4 on 23 July, overturning an earlier announcement that the third season would end the series.
Perry confirmed at the time that the Bellarie family's story was 'far from finished,' adding that there was more he wanted to explore and thanking viewers for supporting the series.
The renewal came after strong audience performances for the previous instalments. Season 2 spent six weeks in Netflix's Global Top 10, while the franchise has surpassed one billion viewing hours across its run.
'Beauty in Black' Season 3 Keeps Drama in the Charts
Season 3 provided further evidence of the show's audience following its 27 August premiere.
The eight-episode season debuted at No. 2 on Netflix's English-language TV chart with 13 million views, according to reported Netflix viewing data. The drama has also remained among Netflix's popular television offerings following its return.
The latest episodes continue the story of Kimmie, played by Taylor Polidore Williams, as she attempts to protect her position within the Bellarie family empire. Crystle Stewart returned as Mallory alongside Amber Reign Smith, Xavier Smalls, Ricco Ross, Julian Horton and other members of the ensemble cast.
'Beauty in Black' Season 4 Release Date
Despite the accelerated production plans, there is currently no confirmed Beauty in Black Season 4 release date. Netflix's official announcement says additional details about the fourth season will be revealed later.
The reported filming schedule has nevertheless provided the clearest indication yet of how quickly the next instalment could progress. If production wraps as planned on 30 October, the series would then move through post-production and Netflix's preparations for its global release.
What's on Netflix has predicted that Season 4 could arrive between spring and summer 2027, while other outlets have similarly pointed to a possible 2027 return. That window remains speculation rather than an official Netflix release date.
Netflix has also yet to announce the full Season 4 cast or episode count. For now, all three released seasons of Tyler Perry's Beauty in Black are available to stream on Netflix.
