After working in hit films like with Guardians Of The Galaxy and Jurassic World, actor Chris Pratt has made an important announcement. The Parks and Recreation star, who has been busy filming for three major releases, has decided to take a short acting sabbatical to spend time with his family.

"I've been on the road for 14 months – I did three movies back to back to back – so I'm taking six months off," the 37-year-old actor told Parade. Pratt has been busy filming three major releases, Te Magnificent Seven, Passengers and Guardians Of The Galaxy 2, which are slated to release in 2016 and 2017, respectively.

While Magnificent Sevenis set to premiere on 23 September, the two other movies are in post-production stage and are scheduled to hit theatres next year. As he has completed the filming schedule, the actor now wants to spend a long beach vacation with his 39-year-old actress wife Anna Faris and three-year-old son Jack.

"I'm taking Jack to Jack's Beach—which is what we named the little stretch of beach on an island up on the San Juan Islands where we got a place. We're going to go back to the fort we built about a month and a half ago when we went for a short visit and see if that's still there. If not, we're going to build it again," the Jurassic World star said while revealing his vacation plans.

As the actor is planning for some father-son moments, here are some details about his character Peter Quill in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. According to reports, more details about his origin will be revealed in the sequel, and the Star-Lord's father, Ego the Living Planet (played by Kurt Russell) will be introduced in the film.

According to Russel, the Marvel movie is set to explore the complexities between the father and the son. "It's a very complex story, and they really get into it. This is going to be one of the more – probably for Marvel, it's more connected to human issues, family issues, parental issues, and issues that sons and daughters have with their moms and dads and their family tree, where they come from. I just think it's going to be an interesting – Peter's character in this one, he's got dilemmas and he's got decisions to make that are not just about whether to save that thing or that person. This is about finding out who you are, where you come from, and where you're going," he told Collider.
