D4vd Case Update: Singer Caught Admitting 'Celeste's Been Unalived for Like a Year'? Viral Livestream Ignites Speculation
Celeste Rivas Hernandez disappeared in March or April 2024

A resurfaced TikTok livestream clip has reignited intense online speculation surrounding singer D4vd and the homicide case involving Celeste Rivas Hernandez, after a voice believed by some viewers to be his appeared to state that she had been dead 'for like a year' — months before her remains were discovered.
The clip, pulled from a multi-box TikTok Live held in late October 2024 and later uploaded in full by YouTuber Trap Lore Ross, has circulated widely across social media.
While no authorities have confirmed the speaker's identity or treated the remark as evidence, the timing of the statement has fueled renewed debate in online true-crime communities.
The Viral Livestream Clip Explained
The controversy centres on a TikTok Live discussion about Celeste Rivas Hernandez, who at the time was still listed as missing. During the stream, a user joined via a now-deleted account and engaged in a heated exchange defending D4vd against accusations tied to her disappearance.

At one point, the speaker said Celeste had been 'unalived for like a year,' a remark that immediately stood out to viewers. When the comment was made, Celeste's fate had not been publicly confirmed, and her remains would not be found until September 2025.
The clip resurfaced months later after Trap Lore Ross uploaded the full livestream to YouTube, prompting Reddit users to scrutinise the statement and its implications.
Why the Timing Raised Questions
Celeste Rivas Hernandez disappeared in March or April 2024. Her remains were later found inside D4vd's Tesla in September 2025, with authorities ruling her death a homicide. As of January 2026, no arrests have been made, and D4vd has not been charged.
Because the livestream occurred roughly a year before the discovery of her body, some online commentators argue that the remark suggests insider knowledge.
However, law enforcement has not publicly referenced the livestream or any such alleged claims, and there is no confirmation that investigators consider it relevant.
Disputed Identity and Voice Analysis Claims
Much of the online debate hinges on whether the voice in the livestream belongs to D4vd. Theorists and those who have come across the video on social media claim the speaker's vocal patterns, phrasing, and cadence match the artist's known speech, arguing that no voice changer was used.
Sceptics counter that the audio quality is poor, the account was anonymous, and that vocal similarities alone are insufficient to identify someone conclusively. Several commenters acknowledge the possibility of impersonation or trolling, a common feature of high-profile online cases.
Importantly, no independent verification has confirmed that D4vd was present on the livestream or operating the account.
Was D4vd Caught Admitting Any Crime?
After the livestream, some users alleged that D4vd posted cryptic Instagram Story content referencing the TV series You, including captions about obsession and self-control.
However, the user who made the claim shared that the screenshots of these posts are no longer publicly available, and their content cannot be independently verified. Theories suggesting the livestream remark was a 'Freudian slip' also remain speculative.
For now, the case remains open, with investigators continuing to review evidence tied to the homicide ruling.
