Danielle's Message on Anniversary

Danielle posted photos on Instagram on 22 July, the group's fourth debut anniversary. Her message read: 'Life gets cloudy sometimes, but the light always finds its way back in. Until then, keep shining'. She also thanked those who continued to support her.

Danielle did not mention NewJeans, ADOR or her departure from the group. However, the post appeared as the other four members marked the anniversary together, leaving its meaning open to interpretation.

Four-Member Anniversary Content

NewJeans released a special video titled '2026 Summer of NewJeans', featuring Minji, Hanni, Haerin and Hyein. The release marked the first official NewJeans content featuring the four members together in about one year and four months.

The appearance highlighted the group's current public lineup after months of uncertainty surrounding its activities and contracts. Danielle was absent from the anniversary content, adding significance to the timing of her separate Instagram update.

ADOR Yet To Confirm Lineup

Despite the four-member appearance, ADOR has not formally confirmed that NewJeans will permanently continue without Danielle.

The agency said the anniversary video was created to mark the group's fourth debut anniversary and that specific plans for future activities and their format would be announced after discussions with the members were completed.

That means the anniversary content signals a new public configuration for NewJeans, but does not by itself establish a permanent four-member era.

Danielle's Departure Tied to Wider Dispute

Danielle's departure followed her dispute with ADOR over the group's exclusive contracts. ADOR terminated her exclusive contract in December 2025 and later pursued a damages claim involving Danielle, a family member and former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin.

Haerin, Hyein and Hanni returned to ADOR, while Minji's status had remained under discussion before she appeared in the anniversary content alongside the other members.

TikTok Users Call Danielle 'Unbothered'

Danielle's upbeat post also prompted reactions on TikTok, with users interpreting her message as a sign that she appeared unfazed by the circumstances surrounding her departure.

One TikTok user mimicked Danielle's post and captioned it with claims about her facing '3 pending lawsuits', being removed from her group and allegedly being '500 million in debt'. Those claims were made by the TikTok user and have not been independently verified.

Comments described Danielle as 'unbothered', while another user said, 'and she's coming for revenge'. Attention also centred on an image of Danielle wearing a cap featuring the word 'REVENGE'.

The reactions reflect social-media interpretations of Danielle's post, rather than a statement from the singer herself. Danielle has not publicly said that her message or the cap was directed at NewJeans, ADOR or her legal dispute.
