Charlie Cox plays Matt Murdock in Daredevil Netflix

Netfilx has released the official trailer and premiere date of Daredevil season 2. Matt Murdock will return to fight crime in Hell's Kitchen on 18 March 2016. The season will find the Man Without Fear taking on a new adversary, Frank Castle aka The Punisher and an old flame, Elektra Natchios.

The trailer opens inside a church with an ode to season 1, as Matt says, "I am just trying to make my city a better place."He then questions the priest, "Father! Why do I still feel guilty?" To which the other voice replies, "Guilt can be a good thing. Its a soul's call to action, the indication that your work is not yet finished." This is followed by an epic scene where the windows of the church crash and the promo ends with a nod to the arrival of the Punisher (played by Jon Bernthal).

Meanwhile, Charlie Cox who plays Murdock teased a complicated relationship between him and The Punisher. "It's really complicated," Cox told Empire (via Comic Book). "It feels like they're sworn enemies, but at times it feels like they could be best friends and brothers. In order to find common ground, compromise has to be made."

According to showrunner Doug Petrie, season 2 will progress at a faster pace. He teased that the premiere episode will open with an action scene, which will immediately introduce The Punisher. Petrie told Entertainment Weekly: "The advantage of any sequel is you can dive right in. We hit the ground running and then we ran as fast as we f***ing could."

Daredevil follows the life of a young boy Matt Murdock who was blinded in an accident that also imbued him with extraordinary senses. Matt fights against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night he turns the superhero "Daredevil" in modern day Hell's Kitchen, a fictional city in New York.

Daredevil Season 2 will find Murdock testing his skills as he deals with ruthless vigilante Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) and the mysterious ninja assassin Elektra (Elodie Yung).
