Dolly Parton's nephew's professional career has been upended mere weeks after she died. Bryan Seaver, who had been in charge of his aunt's security team, was fired after a series of emails between him and the contract security firm in charge of Dolly's Nashville properties.

Heated email exchanges and legal filings followed after the country singer's death, with Seaver losing his temper amid a growing fight over Dolly's estate.

The legacy of the renowned country music artist, actress and entrepreneur became the centre of a dispute between her nephew and members of her inner circle.

Seaver became increasingly involved in disagreements over security at Dolly's Nashville properties, with tensions simmering within emails exchanged between members of her team.

The email thread, titled, 'Fwd: Letter from Dolly', was heavily redacted, making the subject of the email and what exactly was being addressed unclear. Even so, the thread showed that the exchange was becoming increasingly heated, with Seaver challenging decisions made regarding his aunt's properties.

The dispute centred on Titan, the company which had been hired in spite of his and Dolly's objections. In one email addressed to Bill, he allegedly wrote:

'Your contract security company (Titan) you've hired in spite of me and Dolly's request for service at the hotel has completely f***ed up and let an employee be assaulted.'

Page Six reported that the email exchange was included in court documents, which included several profanity-filled messages sent by Seaver on 21 August, just four days before the singer's death.

Seaver's alleged messages included an array of expletives and insults. 'Let's play ball you f***ing sh**bag loser,' he wrote, adding, 'Why is your side of this project continually f***ed up and behind the curve?'

'Please by all means with sugar on top, let's do legal violence you f***ing worthless skinny fat nerd.' He closed the message with, 'Go f*** yourself you f***.'

Because much of the message was redacted, it is unclear whether he was responding directly to a message from Dolly or if it was another issue entirely.

The emails surfaced as Seaver was facing mounting legal pressure, leading Dolly's longtime manager, Danny Nozell, to fire him and place him under a temporary restraining order.

Bryan Seaver Defended Himself Against Allegations Despite Evidence of Harassment

Seaver's behaviour came under intense scrutiny as Nozell filed a restraining order for threatening him and various other employees. The filing claimed that Seaver's 'terrorizing conduct made their continued retention untenable.'

Variety reported that Seaver had attempted to extort money from the company, calling himself a 'killer' and 'literally an international arms dealer and mercenary.' He allegedly added, 'All I do is warfare.'

Seaver denied the allegation that he was attempting to extort money from the estate, but maintained that some of his statements were taken out of context.

'I am a career soldier and military contractor and do conduct arms deals for foreign governments,' Seaver told TMZ. 'I am a security professional and I am a killer.'

'However, nothing in this lawsuit were threats and most of the comments I stand by. I was talking frankly in a private way with Danny who I thought was my friend and he fancies himself a gangster. A lot of these messages are two guys having rage talk and crying on the phone together while we were grieving.'

This sentiment was not shared by Nozell, who alleged that Seaver had begun a campaign of intimidation in the weeks before Parton's death.

The documents contained even more messages incriminating Seaver for allegedly threatening Nozell. 'I'm going to destroy the entire brand if you don't get these [Dollywood business partners] out of our bit. . . . I'm going to go to Billboard Magazine with my s***. Just like you. I'm going to ratf*** every [Dollywood business partner] entity I can possibly conjure.'

Seaver maintained that the messages were simply taken out of context and called the restraining order 'spurious and simply a publicity stunt'.

'Dolly called me her killer. It was a joke we used around her camp. I was her 'baby boy ninja' and Danny Nozell took that text out of context to somehow imagine that I was threatening him. He's always called me The Killer. I've never threatened anyone ... They are my friends and my brothers and colleagues.'

Nevertheless, Seaver was fired, leaving the future of Dolly's estate in hands other than his own. Parton died with a net worth of over $450 million (£340 million), according to estimates.
