Overview

Men's semi-final

World No 1 Mohamed Elshorbagy, Gregory Gaultier, Miguel Angel Rodriguez and Cameron Pilley have made it to the last four of the men's World Series finals in Dubai. The Colombian, who is ranked No 6 in the world, was given a chance to progress to the semi-final after French star Mathieu Castagnet was forced to withdraw as he had a recurrence of an adductor injury during the second game.

Egyptian Elshorbagy will face Pilley in the first semi-final, while the remaining two, Angel Rodriguez and Gaultier, will play the second semi-final. The winner of these two clashes will face each other in the final on 28 May.

Women's semi-final

World No 1 and England's Laura Massaro will be one of the firm favourites to win the women's final. But she will face competition from three others, Nour El Sherbini, Nicol David and Raneem El Welily.

Massaro faces El Sherbini in the first semi-final, which will be the first semi-final clash (of both women's and men's) on Friday. David and El Welily take on each other in the other semi-final.
