Dozens of brightly coloured hot air balloons float over the Catalonian city of Igualada and the surrounding countryside. The European Balloon Festival is one the biggest international ballooning events in Europe. It was first held in 1997 and has been organised every year since. More than 50 hot air balloons from all over the world are taking part in this year's festival, which runs from 7 to 10 July.
