Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly feeling increasingly isolated from Princess Eugenie as they return to the UK with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. An insider cited by The Blast claims there has been an apparent lack of contact from Eugenie, leaving the Sussexes disappointed as their once-close relationship reportedly cools.

Prince Harry And Meghan Face A Reported Eugenie Snub

The news came after Harry and Meghan's relationship with Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, remained one of the royal connections they could reportedly rely on after leaving royal life. Their friendship reportedly continued despite wider tensions surrounding the Sussexes.

According to Closer, Eugenie and Jack have reportedly avoided meeting Harry and Meghan, despite both couples owning properties at the same Portuguese resort. The source described the lack of contact as a 'huge disappointment', particularly for Meghan, who reportedly hoped their shared connection to Portugal would give them more chances to spend time together.

An insider claimed Meghan wanted them to 'take weekend trips to Portugal' but 'didn't get much reaction at all' from Eugenie. The same source said, 'They're in disbelief right now because Eugenie is suddenly pulling away,' adding that 'it's a huge disappointment because Meghan expected them to spend loads of time together.'

Princess Eugenie's Long-Standing Bond With Harry

For context, the relationship between the Sussexes and the Brooksbanks dates back to before Harry and Meghan stepped away from working royal duties. Eugenie and Jack were reportedly among the trusted people who knew about Harry and Meghan's early romance in 2016.

Closer reported that the four friends went out together in Halloween costumes in Canada before Harry and Meghan's relationship became public. Meghan later recalled the occasion, saying, 'The four of us snuck out in Halloween costumes to have one fun night on the town before it was out in the world that we were a couple.'

The relationship reportedly survived later upheaval, with Eugenie and Jack visiting Harry and Meghan in the US in February 2022, according to The Blast.

The connection appeared to strengthen after Harry and Meghan purchased a property at the same Portuguese resort as the Brooksbanks in 2024.

Royal Family Tensions Complicate The UK Return

The reported change is being linked by sources to Harry and Meghan spending more time in the UK, where their association with the Royal Family is said to face greater scrutiny. One source explained, 'When Harry and Meghan were all the way over in America, and their friendship was mostly over the phone, it was very easy to navigate, but things have gotten much more complicated now that they're [in the] U.K.'

The Blast cited a National Examiner source who claimed Eugenie and Princess Beatrice wanted to avoid getting into 'more hot water' by openly supporting the Sussexes, because of Prince William's reported sensitivity.

The report linked the sisters' alleged caution to scrutiny surrounding their parents, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, and their reported ties to Jeffrey Epstein. A Closer insider claimed, 'Eugenie is pretty anxious about upsetting William and the King,' while saying William was said to be 'watching very closely to see who is with him and who is against him.'

For Meghan, the alleged withdrawal is reportedly especially painful. The insider described her as 'pretty lonely and isolated', saying 'not having Eugenie there to guide her through this is hitting her hard'. The source added, 'She's very disappointed right now and fearing the worst.'

The claims come from unnamed sources cited by The Blast and referenced publications. Neither Harry, Meghan nor Eugenie is quoted confirming that the relationship has deteriorated.
